හැලෙන්නන්ට තතනන

තෙවැනි ඇස මත රැඳි

ගැඹුර නොපෙනෙන හසුවකි

තනිකමද අනියත බවද කියැවෙන

බොහෝ ගැඹුරැති කතාවෙක

නිසල හා විපරීත

හදවතකි 

පාලුවූ අඳුරුවූ මහා කතරෙක

සැම හා සම නොවූ

දෑස රවටන මායා දසුන

සොබා දහමේ වරදෙකි

ජීවිතේ කතාවයි මේ

නියම් අනියම් කම් මත ඇඳි

කිසිදා පසක් නොමවන

සමන්මලී අභයසිරි

Reluctance

An autumn leaf

in a leafless branch lattice

is a two - dimensional capture

of multi-layered story,

calls for third eye reconstruction

of solitude and fall

stillness and contrast

a heart in a barren universe

an error of nature

a peculiarity that wrecks average

an eye-tease graphic

a narrative of our days

of our formalities

and our 'neverthelesses'.
