දෑස වසාගමි ඔබ නොපෙනෙන්නට - සිහිනෙක දැවටී ඔබ එනවා

දයා ද අල්විස් මහත්මිය විසින් රචිත මේ ඉමිහිරිතම ගීය ගුණදාස කපුගේ ගාන්ධර්වයානන්ගේ ස්වර මුසුවට ගයන්නේ පුණ්‍යා කත්‍රිආරච්චි මහත්මියයි.

මා ඉතා ප්‍රිය කරන මේ ගීය ඉංග්‍රීසියට පරිවර්තනය කිරීමේ වෑයමකි මේ. 


Closing my eyes cannot stop 
your presence in my vision 
as my dreams are of you
all the bars across my soul
to stop you being there 
aren't strong enough 
as my only thought is you

I lift my eyes to see
the shining sun or the moon
but its you who beams up there
not a single alluring sight 
around that keeps away
the  charming radiance of you
ever in my vision

In my vein endeavor
to endure the lonesome 
days and nights without you
you come to me in a sigh 
in the notes of my imagination
your weeping tune
is music in my ears

Aren't you my sky and the Earth 
and wont you leave me ever 
just even for a fraction of a second
oh! when can we be ours
devouring the bars of the forbidden land
that make us apart
